JARDIN DE ROEDGEN
The Roedgen Garden is a garden in the countryside that citizens of the Transition movement have started to cultivate. It was made available by a local citizen. One of the goals of the gardeners is to improve the quality of the soil including the supply of organic matter, culture, and the combination of green manure, cereals and grasses.
This garden is open to anyone who wants to learn to grow, produce for themselves and share. Crop rotations are planned. Decision-making is collective (e.g. the cultivation plan, seed purchase, compost making, production sharing, etc.). The work and costs are shared: purchase of equipment, water collecting, work in the field, repair of infrastructure, tree pruning, planting of hedges, etc.
The participation in the garden is free and without a waiting list but the costs are shared.
